Local Merger results in new business!

Steve Colgate - Executive Coach

Steve Colegate on the Sandy Farm Business Park, where Relish People Ltd have their offices.

Relish People Ltd, a Farnham based personal development company, recently merged with a Reading based coaching business New Leaf Executive Coaching.

Relish is in its third year of trading and has started out as it means to go on – growing through merger and acquisition. This is the second merger in the strategic plan so far, and this merger with Berkshire’s New Leaf allows the company to up its offering of Executive Coaching and Mentoring to a number of blue chip companies.

“It was networking through the NRG network, that facilitated Steve and I meeting, which just goes to show the power of SME’s spending time networking socially and professionally”, said Wendy Makepeace-Browne, founder member of Relish.

Kim Searle, Managing Director of Relish People said “We are keen that Relish can provide its clients with the level of support and help they need and in order to do this, it is important that we recruit personnel who are outstanding in their field and meet with our core values of integrity and mutuality. Steve Colegate is absolutely one of these people and his importance to us is reflected in his role as Director responsible for our Management and Leadership product ranges.”

Steve Colegate said “I’d been running my own coaching and training business for almost 3 years and while I love delivery, the back office work was becoming a burden. I was starting to feel like a slave to the business and I felt alone in my work. Up popped Wendy who decided that I should join Relish (she can be really persuasive when she sets her mind to something), then I met Kim (actually I think I was interviewed by Kim) and the rest is history. We are a near perfect blend of capability, knowledge and expertise with a shared passion for people.

Already it seems that Steve has made his mark, securing new business in the automotive industry and  the defence sector. Steve adds a strong business background from the world of IT and Telecoms so between them, the new Relish team have the skills to help their clients (corporate and private) to focus on their own strengths - the real key to everyone’s total success!
