The
6th Thai Festival held in Milford, Surrey saw over 50,000 people
attend the event over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
It was held at Secretts Garden Centre in Milford, and was organised by the Mudita Trust, set up to help support schools in Thailand.
The keynote colour chosen this year was yellow, to celebrate the 80th birthday of their King, King Bhumibol and the majority of stall holders and helpers wore yellow tee shirts that really added to the sunny atmosphere of the weekend!
With over 30 Thai restaurants selling Thai food and various arts and crafts, it certainly had something for everyone. In particular there were shows of traditional Thai dancing, martial arts, music and theatre to entertain the crowds as they sat in the gorgeous sunshine and ate their foods.
Relish People were proud to be able to help out on one of the stands – Heavenly Holistics, a group of complimentary therapists specialising in Reiki, Infinite Balance, Reflexology and massage. Jill Roberton who organised the stand with Diane Betts said “everyone at the event worked tirelessly, even though it was hot and at times very hectic. The weekend was a roaring success and a wonderful thing to be involved in.”
With such a high turnout, this was the place to be over the bank holiday!
